 First of all we know about protocol which is a set of rules that describes how computers communicate. In Internet environment every computer use a protocol called TCP/IP. The Internet, referred to as "the Net," the Internet is a global network of computer networks that allows users at one computer to obtain information from any other computer with permission and occasionally communicate directly with users at othercomputers. Whenever you will a message through internet, TCP divides the data into units called packets and attaches to each packet.

 Internet protocol then labels all the packets with a header containing the address of the destination and sends them on their way.When the packets reach their destination, the computer on the receiving end removes the IP header and uses The receiving computer removes the IP header and uses TCP to add information to each packet to ensure that the packet is not lost or corrupted.

 The packets are then reassembled into the original message.To use TCP/IP protocol computer need the specific software.Different type of hardware used to connect computer with the internet like modem is used to access the internet from home.You are connected through a computer with an Internet Gateway, if you access the Internet from a computer .In the LAN, Gateway is a special computer that communicates with the internet.

To send or recive information speed depends on the modem or its bandwidth. Bandwidth is the capacity of data lines to carry Internet traffic.The physical resources of the public telecommunication networks that are now in place are partially utilized by the Internet. The adoption of a set of protocols known as Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is what technically sets the Internet apart.Two recent adaptations of Internet technology, the Intranet and to the extranet, also make use TCP/IP protocol.

 The protocols, such asDevices must abide by the rules presented by the TCP/IP suite in order to accomplish operations. Machines could not communicate if they did not share this set of rules.

You may see and use hyperlinks to move between online sites that may contain text, photos, videos, and other types of multimedia.It is a piece of software designed to visit a webpage. 

 The original web browser, LYNX, was only used for text in 1989 and was replaced by Mosaic in 1992 at the University used for graphical, video, music and text. The World Wide Web, also known as the "web," is an assortment of webpages or websites on web servers and connected to local computers over the internet. The World Wide Web, to put it another way, is a collection of program standards that enable users to access web pages controlled by protocols. With these standards, you can create or access websites that include text, images, audio, and video, as well as access files and create new ones, and display them online via hyperlinks that are supported by the HTTP protocol.

Media files of any kind can be downloaded as web resources. Hypertext links structured in Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) connect content on web pages.The HTML syntax allows users to access to other web resources by displaying integrated hyperlinks with URLs.Web pages can also refer to photos, videos, audio, and software components in addition to text. These resources are rendered as pages or streams of multimedia material by the user's web browser, either by internal execution or display. Web pages that perform the role of application software are called web apps.
